INTECH Process Automation has executed a Control Systems audit project for KazGerMunai. The project encompassed analyzing the outdated control systems at two KazGerMunai fields, Akshabulak, which is one of the 10 largest oil fields in Kazakhstan, and Nuraly, which is a smaller sized oil field. The main objectives of this audit were:
- To select a direction of the works and aims of automation
- To create the standard and specific projects of process automations
- To develop the feasibility study and functional structure of Automated Process Control System
- To develop and formulate the automation tasks, architecture of hardware and software
The operators at these fields were facing problems with outdated control systems and equipment. They intended to pay special attention to their control systems that would play a critical role in maintaining sustainable plant production and safeguarding plant equipment & field personnel.
INTECH’s consultation services suggested solutions that would overcome these limitations. INTECH also suggested a way forward on how to improve the reliability of the fields’ control systems.
