INTECH Process Automation is located in downtown - Luanda. Offices of major companies
like Chevron, ExxonMobil, Sonangol and others are located within 15 minutes drive
from the office. The office is equipped with modern telecommunications and multimediailities
and at present, is geared to undertake and deliver small to medium size Process
Automation projects, in-country technical support, long-term maintenance and training
support etc.
- The facility is located in the main business area. Security is ensured by a contracted
security agency. This includes 24/7 Armed guard + Intruder detection alarm system
monitored 24/7 at central control room of the security company.
- In order to provide power backup in case main electricity supply fails backup generator
(27KVA 3-phase) is provided.
- The facility is also equipped with fire extinguishers and other safety equipment
to handle emergencies. Other facilities are also made available for the staff to
provide a healthy and conducive working environment.
Company Safety and Health policies are well defined and implemented.
- The office is divided into following sections: Automation Lab/training center, Executive
room, Conference Room, Kitchen & Cafeteria.
- Office can accommodate up
to 15 engineers/staff members (currently we are 10).
- Training center/Automation
Lab is equipped with necessary hardware and software to provide customer training.
Can arrange trainings for up to a group of 4 - 6 people.
- At present we
have about 10 PCs/Laptops networked on a 100Mbps LAN running a Windows 2000 network.
Color and black and white HP printers (Letter/A4/A3) are available on the network.
At present our local team in Luanda consists of 10 people: Two expatriates and eight
locals, fully supported by our Regional offices and Corp HQ in Houston. Through
are current resources we have already delivered projects, provided technical support
and site services to clients like Chevron, TOTAL, Sonangol and others. As mentioned
above, we enjoy full support from our head office & regional offices in terms of
HR and other resources. Project teams and site engineers are quickly mobilized from
overseas offices for projects in Angola.
As per Angolan government policy and INTECH’s commitment, we as a company are putting
serious efforts towards Angolanization program.
- Key elements of our nationalization plan:
- Investment on Training Systems for INTECH’s Luanda office
- Hiring of national technicians/engineers/professionals
- Investment on training of national professionals, both in-country as well as training
abroad at INTECH affiliate offices
At present we have 8 nationals working at INTECH Angola with 2 Expatriates. Our
plan is expand our Local team to 14 persons by the end of 2009 with 11 Nationals
and 3 Expatriates. Above number does not include our engineers providing services
at various sites on rotational/long-term basis. We also enjoy full support from
our head-office and regional offices and have up to 25 engineers/technicians at
our disposal for projects and site services in Angola. With strong local presence
and support from our regional offices we are in excellent position to execute small
to large size projects as well maintenance services for CABGOC, TOTAL and other
clients plus providing maintenance services.
