INTECH expands OT Cybersecurity project footprint to West Africa; will fortify a major offshore oil facility against cyberthreats

INTECH has recently won a project to strengthen OT cybersecurity postures at a major oil facility in offshore West Africa.

This win arrives on the back of INTECH’s long standing automation successes in the African Oil & Gas industry and award-winning OT Cybersecurity services & recognition from major Middle Eastern energy players, as signified by a growing OT Cybersecurity project footprint and a strong on-ground presence in the region. INTECH won this project following a comprehensive vulnerability assessment by the client of their Operational Technology (OT) systems, revealing key cybersecurity principles and applications that must be implemented to maintain the security and integrity of their network. The client requested INTECH’s consultancy & services to establish a cybersecure infrastructure for their Process & Safety network.

Through collaborative engagement, INTECH will help the client achieve a sustainably high level of cybersecurity maturity, covering a comprehensive scope including network segmentation & system hardening of OT assets on control & safety networks in line with industry standards & OEM best practices, secure third-party systems connectivity, implementation of robust & secure system architecture, and overall asset management in terms of AVs, patches, and asset inventory reviews.
