INTECH to implement APC across beneficiation processes for the leading global mining company in KSA
INTECH has been awarded a major Advanced Process Control project covering the core beneficiation operations of a leading global mining company in KSA. The project spans the crushing, grinding, desliming, and flotation circuits, supporting higher throughput and production stability, improved recovery and concentrate quality, and lower energy and reagent consumption.

As part of the project, INTECH will deploy an optimizer as the core APC platform, combining model predictive control, advanced rule-based strategies, and inferential models to optimize the beneficiation process. The solution will be implemented as a brownfield supervisory layer over the existing DCS, retaining the plant’s regulatory control infrastructure while introducing predictive control and real-time optimization.
INTECH’s end-to-end scope will cover the complete APC implementation, including:
- Engineering & Development: FEED and process studies, detailed engineering, APC model development, procurement, enabling instrumentation and online process measurement, DCS enhancements, system integration, APC infrastructure, and OT cybersecurity.
- Testing & Deployment: FAT, site installation, commissioning support, and SAT to ensure successful implementation and integration with the existing plant systems.
- Optimization & Handover: APC tuning and optimization, performance validation, operator training, handover, and sustained performance support to maintain long-term optimization performance.
