INTECH becomes part of monumental low-carbon push; wins the complete automation scope for the largest Direct Air Capture plant in history
INTECH’s Houston Center of Excellence for Energy Transition caps off FY 22-23 with landmark project as it extends run of project wins in the American Renewable & Green Energy sector.
INTECH has won the automation scope for the largest Direct Air Capture plant in the Permian Basin, Texas, continuing to play its part in a historic drive to reduce atmospheric CO2 concentration levels as the DAC plant aims at removing one million metric tons of atmospheric CO2 annually.
With this groundbreaking project, INTECH aims to leverage its extensive automation expertise to help address the monumental challenge of the energy transition.
INTECH’s multi-disciplinary automation team will equip multiple trains, process units, and utilities units throughout the plant with high performance process & safety control systems and SCADA, combining performance-proven control technology with real-time supervisory control for maximizing uptime and asset productivity while reducing total cost of ownership.
This development comes at an opportune time as the company carries on its momentum of project wins in the American Renewable & Green energy sector; including control & safety automation project for a major biomass facility in Alabama, break-through MAC-scope win at a green hydrogen plant in California, providing a leak detection system for safer natural gas transportation in Louisiana, and winning the complete automation scope for a water treatment facility of a semi-conductor manufacturing plant in Texas.
