INTECH draws out risk assessment schedules for control systems through comprehensive obsolescence audits

INTECH carried out control system preventive maintenance services at multiple sites in Nigeria.

The client, who has been operating in Nigeria for over 50 years, manages numerous flow stations, gas plants and producing wells in Nigeria. It needed an O&M service provider who could perform controls system’s maintenance and develop their obsolescence risk assessment profile. INTECH has worked with the client in the past, making it easier for us to translate the client’s requirements.

INTECH was awarded the project based on years of Control System’s O&M experience that it has managed to gather while conducting numerous O&M projects in Nigeria and throughout the world.   INTECH’s global presence allows it to guarantee Minimal Response Time to the client and deliver solutions promptly within the agreed timelines. INTECH offers innovative engineer development plans that involve distinguished in-house Automation Lab Trainings and Vendor Certification Programs.

Scope of services provided by INTECH incorporated obsolescence data collection activities, hardware & software upgrades, risk assessment of obsoleted system, upgrade requirements on the basis of Microsoft end of support and provision of spare parts.

INTECH’s engineers administered multiple types of control systems installed at various sites running software checks, recording, analyzing and reporting data. On site preventive maintenance performed by INTECH involved on-site system health checking and reporting. Comprehensive recommendation reporting along with system backup and restore, hardware cleaning and visual inspection allowed the client to enlist best usage practices and register available hardware spares on the site. INTECH also provided round the clock Telephonic and Remote Support. Remote center was constructed to provide 24 hours timely assistance for software problems and product usage questions during and outside working hours.
