INTECH to enhance operational efficiency and data integration across offshore gas production and transportation network in Saudi Arabia

INTECH Process Automation KSA will undertake a project across an offshore gas production and transportation network in North Eastern Saudi Arabia; to enhance operational efficiency and data integration.

The network consists of pipelines including gas transportation, corrosion inhibited Mono Ethyl Glycol (MEG) injection, and solvent injection pipelines. Gas from two offshore tie-in platforms (TPs) is transported through dedicated subsea and onshore pipelines to an onshore gas plant. Corrosion inhibited MEG and Solvent is continuously being pumped offshore via their respective pipelines to intermediate injection platforms (IIPs) from where they are sent to the gas transportation pipelines.

The entire system is controlled from the SCADA console at the onshore gas plant CCR. The client, seeking enhanced operational efficiency, data visibility and integration as well as improved operational insights sought INTECH’s expertise to achieve its desired objectives.

INTECH’s scope of services on this project includes:

  • Supply, Design, Engineering, Installation and Commissioning of ESD RIO Panel
  • Installation and configuration of DMZ
  • Development of HMI screens in PCS SCADA
  • DCS and SCADA Integration and Development of DCS graphics in SCADA
  • PI configuration and Development of Screens

INTECH has already mobilized its resources in KSA, UAE and its engineering back office in Pakistan. The Al-Khobar office in KSA will serve as the lead execution office for the duration of this project.
