INTECH supplies a Telecom Shelter to Cardon IV in Venezuela

Cardon IV has selected INTECH Process Automation for the supply of a Telecom Shelter, and associate Network & Security Systems for their new gas processing facility being constructed near Punta Cardón, in western Venezuela. The first phase of the project is expected to start operation in December 2014. INTECH’s scope of supply will include:

  • Telecom shelter, including UPS, F&G and Fire Suppression System
  • LAN System
  • CCTV System
  • PA system
  • Access Control System
  • Perimeter Protection system

The project will be executed from INTECH’s Houston office.

The Perla Field was discovered by Repsol and Eni in 2009 in the Cardón IV Block, located in Golfo de Venezuela. The development of this project will gradually expand the production of the field from 150 MMSCFD to 1,200 MMSCFD. Cardón IV, S.A., is a joint operating company owned by Repsol (50%) and Eni (50%). PDVSA, the Venezuelan National Oil Company, has a 35% back-in right to the development of the Perla Field, and at that time Eni and Repsol will each hold a 32,5% interest in the project, which will then be jointly operated by the three companies.
