INTECH tackles control system obsolescence at a major gas processing complex in Nigeria

INTECH’s work history in Nigeria spans nearly two decades. Having worked with nearly all of the major regional oil producers in West Africa, INTECH is renowned for tackling control and automation challenges that end users face.

Leading up to this project, the facility in discussion started facing obsolescence concerns due to vendor support phasing out for newer control systems. The end user chose INTECH to help upgrade these control systems.

INTECH’s primary task is to upgrade the older control systems with newer models. This encompasses master documentation, compatibility verification, updating existing documents and drawings, checking firmware compatibility and upgrading to newer versions, and internal testing before implementation.

INTECH will provide the hardware and perform the upgrade services, including installing newer firmware and modules, migrating logic programs, networking, verifying redundancy, and perform SAT/commissioning of the systems.

INTECH will mobilize its resources in Nigeria for the execution of this project with INTECH’s Port Harcourt office serving as the lead execution office.
